Our story began years before the company even opened. Before launching the business, our founder spent approximately three years working with and learning from an experienced trading mentor, developing an understanding of the markets, trading technology, discipline, and the realities of day trading.
In 2014, that experience became a business.
Since then, our technology has evolved, the markets have changed, and automation has transformed trading—but one thing hasn’t changed:

OUR HISTORY
Before 2014 — Learning the Business
Before Day Trading Nation was founded, approximately three years were spent working with a trading mentor, learning the markets and developing the knowledge that would eventually become the foundation of the company.
There was no overnight success story.
It started with education, experience, testing, and time.
2014 — The Company Is Founded
In 2014, the business that would become today’s Day Trading Nation was established.
The original trading technology was manual/semi-manual software. Traders still needed to participate actively in the process, and education was a major part of what we provided.
Our live trading webinars could run two to four hours per day because customers were learning and participating in a much more manual trading environment.
Those long sessions also taught us something important:
Customer support and education matter just as much as technology.
2014–2018 — The Manual Trading Years
During these early years, customers spent considerably more time in front of their computers.
We conducted extensive live webinars, answered questions, demonstrated the software, discussed market conditions, and worked directly with customers.
It wasn’t unusual to spend hours with customers.
That experience ultimately helped shape what we wanted the next generation of the software to become:
More automated. Less complicated. Less time in front of a computer.
2018 — Automated Trading Arrives
Instead of requiring customers to manually perform every part of the process, much of the trading process could now be pre-programmed and automated according to the software’s settings and strategy.
That represented a major change for both our technology and our customers.
The goal became simple:
Use technology to reduce the amount of manual interaction required.
2018–Today — 6,000+ Live Webinars
Education never disappeared when automation arrived.
Since starting the company, we have conducted more than 6,000 live day-trading webinars.
We’ve worked with customers internationally, with customers in approximately 10 different countries.
Some customers have been with us for five years, six years, and longer.
We’re proud of those relationships because this isn’t intended to be a business where someone purchases software and then can’t find anyone when they need assistance.
SEVEN YEARS ON CBS RADIO 2014-2021
Our financial education wasn’t limited to webinars.
For approximately seven years, we hosted a financial radio program on a CBS-affiliated FM talk-radio station.
The program ultimately ended when the station was sold—not because we simply disappeared from broadcasting.
It was another opportunity for us to discuss financial markets and education with a broader audience.
THREE YEARS WITH THE MONEY SHOW
During the lockdown era, the world changed—and so did the way people attended financial events.
For approximately three years, we participated virtually with The MoneyShow, continuing to provide market and trading education to audiences remotely.
Technology allowed the education to continue even when traditional events couldn’t operate normally.
DAY TRADING AFTER DARK
PODCAST SHOW
Our education continues today.
In 2025, we launched Day Trading After Dark, our podcast-style program covering day trading, trading technology, market education, automation, trader psychology, and the realities of the trading business.
And the first

It’s another way for customers and prospective customers to learn about what we do before making a decision.
TODAY — THE NEW GENERATION OF AUTOMATED SOFTWARE
The technology has come a long way since our original manual software.
Our current system is designed so that customers don’t need to spend hours sitting in front of a trading screen.
The software can be configured in advance, allowing much of the process to operate automatically according to the user’s selected settings.
For many customers, the routine can involve approximately 10 minutes of computer time to prepare, activate and monitor the system, although actual time and trading conditions can vary.
That’s dramatically different from the two-to-four-hour manual sessions we conducted years ago.
Technology changed.
So we changed with it.
WE DON’T DISAPPEAR AFTER THE SALE
This is one of the most important differences about Day Trading Nation.
Our relationship with a customer doesn’t end when they purchase software.
We provide live education and ongoing assistance, and one-on-one training is available for customers who want additional help.
